(Minghui.org) I recently began reading the book “How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World,” by the editorial team of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I now feel that I understand the reasons behind the various events and news in today's society, as if I can see through the chaos. Before, when I read about celebrities' news, experts' comments, conflicts between countries, etc., I always felt confused. After reading this book, I can clearly see the world's current events for what they are and I'm no longer deceived.

The book “How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World” begins by explaining the origins of communism. It describes its emergence, development and its devastating destruction of the entire human race. How it attacks and systematically undermines faith, family, politics, economy, law, art, education, media, popular culture and social life. How behind the scenes it controls various movements and ideologies prevalent in today's society; people do not realize that behind it all is the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) striving for globalization and control. The contents are comprehensive, historically informative, and clearly reasoned. The book is not only enlightening and awakening, it also explains profound theories in simple and easy to understand language.

Unbeknownst to us, we are living in a world ruled by the spirit of communism, and everything we hear, see and come into contact with is imparting its corrosive, negative elements. Some fellow practitioners, especially the younger ones, know that all things from the CCP in China are evil and fake, but they are not alert to things from other countries, thinking that they are safe and normal, which is not the case.

For example, I am thoroughly disgusted with the education system in China, which is full of CCP culture. I always admired the freedom of education children enjoy in the West. Therefore, my children were relatively relaxed in their schoolwork, but they didn't do well academically. The pressure from relatives, friends and society has plagued our family. I read Master's relevant teachings, but due to my low level of understanding and the misconception that the world outside China is safe from Party culture, I was confused about this issue. Only after I began reading this book did I realize that if I let my children have their own way in schoolwork, it will cause them to become lazy, love ease and detest work, etc. , which falls into the trap and follows the path arranged by the old forces.

Another example is our indiscriminate acceptance of the words and theories of some so-called Western “thinkers” and “philosophers”. I did not realize that many of them (such as Rousseau, Freud, etc.) are communism's spokesmen or followers. I personally believe that these things are like the fake qigong Master mentioned, and that accepting their philosophies, whether intentionally or unintentionally, is like violating “staying true to one practice.”

Most young people admire international fashions and trends. Although practitioners uphold the Fa and know to measure things with the Fa, they may still be confused when they don't have clear understandings of the Fa principles. After reading the book, I can clearly see the communist factors behind those things, even though I felt that I had transcended all of them, and was no longer buried in them.

I have many more understandings that I won't list here. I am still a few chapters away from finishing. I remember Master said that the spirits of communism have heavily influenced college students, so I decided to write this article. I recommend fellow practitioners, especially young practitioners and college student practitioners, read How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World.
