Additional Persecution News from China – November 18, 2021 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Huanying Arrested

It has been three months since Ms. Li Huanying, in her 70s, was arrested. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Chunyin Arrested

Ms. Luo Chunyin was recently arrested.

3. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Practitioners Harassed

Two officers from the Chanling Police Station in Douhudi Town and Gaojian Village security director Xiong Yalin broke into Ms. Hu Zefeng’s home in early November 2021. They photographed her and pressured her to sign and fingerprint paperwork, which she refused.

Around November 10, 2021, officers from the Chanling Police Station and Gaoqiang Village Party secretary Jin Yong and village women’s director Yan Aiping harassed Falun Gong practitioners in the village and pressured them to sign the three statements. These people first went to the home of Yan Aiping’s brother-in-law Mr. Tang Donghua. Mr. Tang refused to sign any paperwork. Yan signed the form on his behalf without his permission. Yan also signed on behalf of his nephew Mr. Tang Hui, who Yan failed to meet with or get authorization from. Afterward, they took the forms signed by Yan and used them to coerce and deceive other practitioners in the village to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong. They went to Mr. Li Zaizhong’s home, asked for his eldest daughter’s phone number, and pressured her to sign paperwork, which she refused.

At 11:30 a.m. on November 11, staff member Chen and others from the Cheying Community Management Office and Gaoqiang Village Party secretary Jin Yong in Douhudi Town forced Ms. Zou Yinlian’s brother to lead them to Ms. Zou’s home. Ms. Zou refused to sign paperwork. Instead, she clarified the truth to them. In the end, they forced her brother to sign for her.

Ms. Hu Shiling of Gaoqiang Village works at Jin’an Company. At noon on November 11, officers from the Chanling Police Station went to her workplace, photographed her, and pressured her to sign the three statements, which she refused.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Shi Lanying and Ms. Yin Yanfeng Arrested

Officers from the Changchun City Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Shi Lanying’s barbershop in Shanghewan Town, Jiutai District, on the morning of November 17, 2021. Ms. Yin Yanfeng happened to be there. Both Ms. Shi and Ms. Yin were arrested and taken to the police station. At around 6 p.m. the officers took Ms. Shi home. Ms. Yin was taken to Jiutai District. 5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhou Shaoping Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shaoping, about 70, was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Luyang District Police Department on November 9, 2021. The officers confiscated 4,000 yuan in paper bills with information about Falun Gong written on them. They also went to Ms. Zhou’s daughter’s home to harass her. Ms. Zhou was later transferred to the Heyedi Police Station in the Hefei Administrative Affairs New District. The officers pressured her to sign paperwork, which she refused. She returned home that evening.

6. [Yu County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ren Jinmei and elderly Zhang (gender unknown) were arrested and taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center by Wang Lijun from the Yu County Domestic Security Division on the morning of November 15, 2021, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The detention center refused to admit Zhang due to old age. Zhang returned home. Ms. Ren was detained for five days.

Four plainclothes officers from the Yu County Domestic Security Division broke into the home of Wang (gender unknown) and ransacked the place on the morning of November 15. Wang escaped. They also arrested Kang (gender unknown) that day and took Kang to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center. Further information is pending.

7. [Sanshui City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Yuanxiu Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuanxiu was arrested by officers from the Sanshui Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at the Sanshui market on the morning of November 17, 2021.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Huili Harassed Several Times

Ms. Qu Huili was harassed several times by Gu Xiujun from the Fengtai Sub-district Administration Office between September 3 and November 9, 2021.

Gu has repeatedly put pressure on community management office staff members in Ms. Qu’s community. He ordered staff members and personally participated in harassing Ms. Qu. They wanted to meet her and deprive her of her right to freedom of belief. Ms. Qu refused to meet with them.
