(Minghui.org) After starting to practice Falun Dafa in 1998, I benefited greatly from cultivating in Dafa. I would like to talk about my recovery from shingles within three days.
I felt a little pain in my lower back when changing into my uniform at work in March 2019. I did not take it seriously.
However, my job required transporting heavy glue, weighing 30 kilograms per piece and 180 kilograms of glue per cart. After loading one cart, my lower back and waist turned red, swollen, and felt extremely painful.
I gritted my teeth and finished three carts until I could no longer endure the pain. So, I asked for a leave of absence to recover. The shift lead took a glance at my waist and said it was shingles, and took me to the supervisor, who also believed it was shingles. He told me to go to the hospital quickly.
I wanted to ask for a three-day leave, but the supervisor thought it was impossible for me to return to work withing just three days.
“People can die after the shingles wraps around their waists,” he said. “This illness is difficult to cure. You have little chance to get better in seven days.”
I replied three days would do because I would be fine given Master Li's protection. The supervisor knows I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and asked, “Have you met your Master?”
I answered no, and he said, “Don’t be superstitious. I’ll send someone to go to the hospital with you.
“I don’t think you will return to work in three days. You could die when it gets worse and wraps around your waist.” I did not say anything and went back to the dormitory.
My co-workers heard about my situation, and suggested different remedies to me. I was not tempted and replied, “I have Master’s protection, so I’m fine.”
They thought I was stubborn and superstitious, so they left. I was unmoved by their opinions.
It is easier said than done when dealing with the pain. I felt the pain on my waist as if my flesh were cut by a knife; I was covered in sweat.
It was really painful every second just to turn my body. I held the headboard and could not sleep at all.
I prayed to Master in my heart: “I have Master and the Fa. I will bear what I should endure and reject any arrangement by the old forces. I only follow Master’s arrangement.”
I fell asleep gradually while I kept reciting the following Fa in my mind: “When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)

Dafa is what you carry everywhere,Zhen Shan Ren, rooted in the mind;A great Arhat walks the earth,Gods and demons fear with awe.” (Hong Yin)
When I woke up at 3 a.m., I found the pain in my waist subsided to a great extent. My waist was still swollen, with large and small red marks, but it didn’t hurt much.
I slowly did the Dafa exercises, and sent righteous thoughts at six o’clock. As a practitioner, when I am in trouble, I should seek help from Master and no one else.
I asked Master to save me and help me go back to work in three days. My purpose was not to earn an income, but to validate the Fa to save those in the factory who had misconceptions about Falun Dafa.
On the second day, much redness and swelling disappeared from my waist, and the pain disappeared. I totally recovered on the third day and returned to work the day after, as scheduled.
My coworkers thought it was incredible to see me back to work so quickly without any medical treatment. Many of them came to check on me.
They were convinced of Falun Dafa’s benefits and said, “Your Master is great and protects practitioners. You recovered from your severe illness within three days without taking any medicine or injections!” Some people came and talked to me specifically.
I confirmed my recovery and told them the fact that Falun Dafa is the superior Buddha Fa in the universe and teaches people to be good. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is persecuting Falun Dafa, and their wrongdoings will result in dire consequences.
I told them people should quit the CCP and its youth organizations to be safe. These coworkers agreed with me.
Thank you, compassionate and great Master for helping me overcome this ordeal, so that the people around me could witness the power of Falun Dafa.
