1. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Additional News on Three Practitioner Arrests

Ms. Feng Suying was shopping in a grocery store after 9:00 a.m. on October 10, 2022. She met two practitioners, Ms. Chen, 75, and Ms. Peng, 95. As soon as they greeted each other, plainclothes officers came and arrested them. They were taken to the Chengnan Police Station, where officers searched them. Officers then went to the homes of Ms. Feng and Ms. Chen and ransacked them. They confiscated more than twelve Falun Gong books, a picture of Falun Gong’s founder, and a mini-player from Ms. Feng’s place. They found nothing at Ms. Chen’s home. They went back to the police station and interrogated the practitioners. They questioned Ms. Feng and asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. The practitioners were released after 4:00 p.m.

2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Zhang Lihui Detained

Zhang Lihui, a dentist, was arrested at home on September 29, 2022, and has been held in the Changchun City Detention Center. It was said that someone reported Zhang.

3. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Additional News on 14 Practitioner Arrests

Fourteen practitioners were arrested in a coordinated raid conducted by officers from the Jiangbei District Police Department and the Taishan Police Station on October 15, 2022.

Ye Mingyun talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in April 2022. A plainclothes officer noticed and tailed Ye to a place where practitioners met. The officer and others from the Taishan Police Station broke into the place and installed a spy camcorder inside an air conditioning unit facing the door. They then traced practitioners to two other gathering locations. Fourteen practitioners who met to read the Falun Gong books together in the three locations were arrested on October 15, 2022. Eleven of them were released within 24 hours. The remaining three, including Ye Mingyun, were held in detention centers.

4. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Harassed, Arrested, Detained, and Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Hui and Mr. Wu Donghui were arrested individually by captain Tian Fengjie and others from the Qinghe District Domestic Security Division on July 13, 2022. Ms. Xia Shulan, in her 70s, was arrested that day by the officers. They ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books. They made harassing phone calls to Ms. Li Siqin. Her daughter was terrified.

Ms. Zhang was sentenced to five years in prison on September 5, 2022. Her parents, who are in their 70s, suffer from many illnesses, and were left home alone without a caregiver. Mr. Wu was detained for 15 days. Ms Xia was released, but she was repeatedly harassed and photographed at home by Tian Fengjie and other officers. They have followed her.

Mr. Zhang Zhongguo, husband of Ms. Li was harassed at home at around 10:00 a.m. on October 10, 2022. Mr. Zhang worked as a propane tank delivery driver. The officers questioned him and asked if he still practiced Falun Gong. They threatened to confiscate his propane tanks.

5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yao Lumin Detained

Ms. Yao Lumin was reported for distributing Falun Gong flyers and was arrested by officers from the Qiandeng Town Police Station on the evening of October 23, 2022. The officers ransacked her home, and seized her computers and printers. She was incarcerated in a detention center (possibly the No. 4 Detention Center).

6. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Guili Harassed

Ms. Cui Guili was harassed at home by four officers from the Lubei Police Station on the evening of early October 2022. The officers, who were wearing body cameras, checked every room. One officer told Ms. Cui it was illegal to practice Falun Gong.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sha Yumei Arrested Again

Ms. Shan Yumei was arrested by officers from the Balibao Police Station on Sept 28, 2022, after which her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for ten days of detention on September 29. The police station officers ordered her family to sign a guarantee statement as the prerequisite of her release on October 9. It stated that she must report to the police station every day until the Chinese Communist Party 20^th National Congress concluded.

She was arrested again by officers from the Changchun Domestic Security Division on October 25, 2022. She was placed under criminal detention. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Chen Hengzhong of Xi’anchen Village was harassed at home on July 15, 2022. Chen Wenying, the village CCP secretary, and Yu Quanmin from Yujia Village led an officer to his place. They photographed him against his will and said they would return on July 20.

Ms. Dong Guilan of Dongjia Village and Ms. Xu Xiufang of Yinjia Village were harassed at home by officers from the Heguan Town Police Station several days before July 20, 2022.

Gaoliu Town Police Station officers took Ms. Feng Aixiang of Zhengjia Village to the police station and held her there for nine hours on October 13, 2022. They also held Mr. Lu Qingde of Dajiaoliu Village and his wife, Ms. Ji Dexiang, in the police station for an entire day.

9. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Guangyuan was harassed at home by three people from the local police station and her community on October 1, 2022. They tried to photograph her, but she stopped them.

Xinjie Town Police Station officers ordered Ms. Luo Youzhen to report to the police station in mid-October 2022 and threatened to interfere with her residency identity card.

He Ping, Yang (first name unknown), and Wang Xiaomei were harassed at home by three people from Xianning City on October 12 and 13.

Peng (first name unknown) was harassed at home by four people from the community and the Chengguan Town Police Station in Jiayu County on October 18, 2022. Xiang Lanjiao, Tang (first name unknown), and He (first name unknown) were reading Falun Gong books. The officers photographed each of them and confiscated their books.

Ms. Jiang Qiuying was intercepted and searched by community clerks three times on October 22, 2022. She was reported and taken to a police station. Officers collected her fingerprints and threatened to interfere with her son’s job. Her son worked in the Dupu Town Police Station.

10. [Mian County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Xiulan Died Due to Persecution—Her Daughter Harassed for Telling Her Story

For years, Ms. Zhao Xiulan was monitored, tailed, harassed, and threatened by people from the local 610 Office, police department, Procuratorate, and the court before she died at age 75 on October 22, 2021.

Her second eldest daughter was arrested on March 10, 2022 by Huanglong Police Station officers for talking about her death. The officers used force to collect her blood sample and fingerprints. She was released afterwards.

11. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Dr. Chen Shujie Repeatedly Harassed

Ms. Chen Shujie, a doctor at the Yushu City Maternal and Child Health Hospital, was told to write a three statements document renouncing Falun Gong by deputy president Pan Xiangfei on the morning of August 17, 2022. Pan said the request came from the hospital’s government regulator (Health Bureau). Ms. Chen refused to cooperate.

She was called to the hospital meeting room to meet deputy president Li Zhenyu and others in the afternoon. Someone took meeting notes. They ordered her to write the three statements again. She refused.

The hospital’s CCP secretary Li Mingdong, deputy president Pan Xiangfei, and others “talked” to her on October 4, 2022. They ordered her to write the three statements and photographed her. They said that if she did not write them, she would be turned over to a disciplinary inspection commission and her career would be in jeopardy.

Pan and others “talked” to her again on October 10 and 13, and ordered her to write the three statements. After she refused, they said they would keep “talking” to her until she changed mind or the hospital’s headquarters sent people to “talk” to her.

12. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Zhaoqin and Ms. Zou Jinrong Arrested

Ms. Liu Zhaoqin and Ms. Zou Jinrong were arrested on October 13, 2022, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. Ms. Liu was arrested by officers from the Beimen Police Station in Bazhou City, the Beijing Railroad Police Department, and the Shijiazhuang Police Department. Ms. Zou was arrested by officers from the Ximen Police Station in Bazhou City.

Ms. Liu was handcuffed and ordered to press her fingerprints on the statement which renounces Falun Gong. She did not comply. She was detained overnight. She was taken to the Bazhou City No. 3 Hospital to undergo a detention center entry physical exam. When the doctor could not read her blood pressure he gave her an intravenous injection. She was released. Officers went to her home, ransacked the place, and seized her Falun Gong books and audio mini-speakers.

Ms. Zou’s blood pressure was over 200 mmHg during the physical exam. Officers released her, but they ransacked her home, and seized her Falun Gong books and audio mini-speakers.

13. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Fangying Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison

Ms. Deng Fangying of the Meixian District was arrested on April 23, 2014, by officers from the Meixian District and the Meijiang District Domestic Security Divisions. She was sentenced to ten years in prison.

14. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Guilin Harassed

Mr. Xu Guilin, in his 70s, was arrested at his home by five officers from the Wananlu Police Station on October 19, 2022. They ransacked his home. He was released and taken back home after his blood pressure shot up to over 200 mmHg.

15. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang, Ms. Zhou, Sun (first name unknown), and an elderly female practitioner (name unknown) were arrested by officers from the Xiancheng Police Station. Their cell phones were confiscated. They were taken to a detention center, but because of the COVID pandemic, the detention center would not admit any new inmates. They were released.

16. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jia Xiulan Harassed

Ms. Jia Xiulan’s home was ransacked by more than twelve officers at 6:00 p.m. on September 19, 2022. They seized four Falun Gong books, two Minghui Weekly publications, cell phones, a computer, and an audio player.

A local officer phoned her family on the afternoon of September 20. The officer ordered her and her family to report to the police department and make statements. They went there on the morning of September 21. Officers questioned Ms. Jia and asked where and from whom she got the confiscated items. She did not cooperate. The officers ordered her to sign a statement, but she refused. She was let go after her family member signed on her behalf and was photographed.
