Several thousand participants took part in the parade. Leading the Falun Gong parade entry was a group of waist drummers, followed by exercise demonstrations and colorful balloons. The group caught the attention of spectators on both sides of the road, with many waving or snapping photos.
Since the Chinese Communist Party announced the end of its zero-Covid policy and lifted all restrictions on December 5, positive cases have been surging in many places. The sudden policy change without any exit plan has strained the medical system, with hospitals being overwhelmed with patients and pharmacies running out of fever and cold medicines.
A vigil was held in front of the Chinese Embassy in Vienna on December 7, 2022. The following day an information booth was set up at a popular shopping street in Vienna. Many passersby expressed their support for Falun Dafa and signed the petition to help end the persecution.
