Frankfurt, Germany: Practitioners Expose the CCP’s Ongoing Persecution of Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in Frankfurt’s city center on July 23, 2022, to tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 23-year-long persecution of the spiritual practice. They displayed information, talked to passersby, and distributed pamphlets. Many people stopped to talk with practitioners and signed a petition calling for the persecution to end.

Frankfurt is a metropolis, and a large number of tourists come to sight-see and shop. Practitioners have put up information booths in various locations in the city center every Saturday for many years. Many local residents have received flyers from practitioners when out taking a stroll, and many have taken the initiative to learn more about the situation in China, and signed the petition.

Numerous people stopped by the four-meter-long display poster and carefully read the information, which explained why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa, the torture methods the regime employs against Dafa practitioners, and the truth about the CCP-staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident.

The Persecution Is Ongoing

S. Müller talked with a practitioner for 40 minutes.

S. Müller has a friend in Hong Kong so she visited there once. She said, “When I was in college, I majored in physics and I went to Hong Kong. I told a student from mainland China that I practiced qigong. He told me that qigong is evil. I was stunned and dumbfounded. He thought that the qigong I practiced was Falun Gong. I realized that he couldn’t think normally on this issue. I later went on the Internet to find information about Falun Gong.

“Falun Gong received strong support and praise from the government at the beginning. Later, the CCP turned these practitioners into enemies of the state, and the suppression methods were extremely cruel. This is not the past, but the reality, which is happening all the time,” Ms. Müller said. “We know too little about this country (under the CCP), especially how the CCP wreaks havoc on its own people. It’s too bad.”

The Persecution Makes Me Feel Sad

Mario Fischer learned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong for the first time when he stopped by the information booth. He silently read the banners, and then signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s organ harvesting and for the disintegration of the CCP. 

Regarding the 23 years of brutal persecution by the CCP that many people in the West still do not know about, Mr. Fischer said, “It makes me sad. The media here do not report the events that should be reported.” He told practitioners, “It may be difficult for good people to organize themselves, and there are strict controls [in China]. But that day will come.” 

A young woman from China who had moved to Germany with her parents when she was a child accepted Chinese newspapers and information from a practitioner. She said she went to school in China until the second grade and joined the Young Pioneers. The practitioner told her that when she joined the organization, she made an oath to give her life for communism. The young woman realized the seriousness of the issue and happily used a pseudonym to quit her membership in the Young Pioneers.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years, though due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
