(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners traveled around the eastern part of France last week to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. They went to busy markets and city centers to introduce the mind body practice to tourists and local residents. They also asked for help to end the atrocities being committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises outside the city government building in Besançon, at markets in Chalon-sur-Saône and Louhans, and in the center of Lyon from July 30 to August 2. People thanked them for informing them of the persecution and encouraged them to continue their peaceful resistance to the suppression.

As passersby stopped to read the display boards, practitioners told them about the ongoing persecution.

The second exercise

People signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Next to Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Lyon on August 2, practitioners demonstrated the exercises and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the persecution in China.

Akakkal Kader is involved in the production of pharmaceutical products. He was astounded to learn of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. He said, “The CCP steals organs from prisoners of conscience and sells them for profits behind the scenes. These are things only a mafia society would do.”

Martine, who spoke to practitioners for a long time, said, “Removing organs from living people is shocking and cannot be tolerated. When people harm others, they are in fact harming themselves. That is self destructive. One should be kind. When you destroy someone else, you destroy a part of yourself. Do not do to someone else what you would not want them to do to you. Evil is everywhere and must be subdued. We should start from a sense of self. Giving to others is the same as giving to yourself. It is just like blood circulating in your body—all of humanity is one. ”

Raphaël Gounon, a Christian, said, “China is a big country with an ancient culture, but it is trampling on the human rights of minority groups, of people with different political views, cultures, and beliefs. I pray for you! I pray for the Chinese people!”

Andrea, a marine mechanic from Italy, was on holiday in Lyon. When he heard how Falun Dafa has spread around the world and yet the CCP is suppressing it, including harvesting organs from its practitioners while they are still alive, he was shocked. He signed the petition and said he would search online for more information and for practice sites when he returns to Italy.

He said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is beneficial to the health of humanity. People should find some time to practice Falun Dafa.” He said he would tell his mother and friends about the persecution and ask them to practice Falun Dafa.

Andrea said that people should practice Falun Gong.

Telling People about the Persecution in the Market in Louhans

Louhans Market is known for trading in live animals such as chicken and game birds and has a history of over a century. Besides fruits and vegetables, there are live domestic animals for sale in the market. Practitioners gave out information and told people about the persecution in China at Louhans market on August 1.

People signed the petition calling for the persecution to end soon.

When people heard about the persecution in China, they signed the petition to show their support. One man who signed returned with four or five friends, and all of them signed the petition, too.

Introducing Falun Gong in Chalon-sur-Saône

Chalon-sur-Saône was a busy port in ancient times. The famous Saône River flows past the city. Practitioners introduced Falun Gong to people in the Chalon-sur-Saône markets on July 31.

People in Chalon-sur-Saône signed the petition to show their support.

An elderly woman was delighted to see the practitioners. She said she’d heard the truth about the persecution from practitioners at the Besançon train station three years ago. After signing the petition, she sighed, “Organ harvesting—this is an inhuman act. What will happen to humanity if things continue like this?” She thanked practitioners for persisting in telling people about the persecution and awakening their conscience.
