(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a parade in Montreal on July 22, 2023, to commemorate the 24th anniversary of their peacefully exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution. They called on the public to help end the CCP’s atrocities against people who follow Falun Dafa's principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Falun Dafa practitioners held a parade in Montreal on July 22, 2023..
The parade started from Cabot Square at 2 p.m. Practitioners carried large banners with messages that exposed the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from practitioners while they are alive, and congratulated the 410 million Chinese who quit the CCP and its youth organizations. The parade went along rue Sainte-Catherine and Boulevard René-Lévesque, and wrapped up in Chinatown. Spectators expressed their support for Falun Dafa. Some were moved to tears when they heard of the extent of the CCP’s brutality.
Sara, a music therapist, said the persecution must stop. She was happy to see her home country, Belgium, on the list of countries openly against the persecution.
Tanmay Nakkate, a software engineer, said, “I know Falun Dafa is beneficial, but the Chinese Communist Party kills practitioners. More people should know about this.”
Another local resident, Chantal said, “I have seen [Dafa practitioners’] parades many times. They are peaceful and simple. I support them! Such activities help stop sending our resources to the wicked.”
Aimee, a journalist, photographed every banner and said, “I learned about the appalling crime of organ harvesting. I support Falun Dafa. Such crimes must stop!”
That evening practitioners held a candlelight vigil on Place D’Armes to mourn fellow practitioners in China who died due to the CCP’s persecution.
