Rectifying Myself to Save More People

(Minghui.org) I am a senior Falun Dafa practitioner who started practicing many years ago. Under Master’s compassionate care, I have managed to pass a difficult journey. I deeply understand the importance of studying the Fa well. I study the Fa with calm focus and enter into the serene world of Dafa every day. My body and mind are healthy, my family is happy, and I’m deeply grateful to be practicing Falun Dafa.

Master said,

“The beings that have come to this world, [including those that] couldn’t become human beings and became animals or plants—all of them are waiting for Dafa disciples to save them.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2014 San Francisco Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIII)

I am really touched every time I read fellow practitioners’ sharing articles that clarify the truth about Dafa. There is an urgency to save people. Especially after Master’s new lectures “How Humankind Came To Be” and “Why Save Sentient Beings” were published, I believe that Dafa practitioners have a great responsibility.

I used to be somewhat afraid of talking to people in person about Falun Dafa. During Fa study, and especially reading Master’s two new lectures mentioned above, I freed myself from the shackles of fear. I sent righteous thoughts in my mind to eliminate all of the old force factors that are interfering with the saving of sentient beings.

I recite this section of Master’s Fa constantly, “... Once your thought is righteous, evil will collapse ...” (“What’s There to Fear,” Hong Yin Vol. II) and rid myself of fear. Now I go out with fellow practitioners to talk to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution every day.

Saving the “Lotus Flower”

I met an older woman who didn’t seem kind. She was not smiling and looked rather fierce. I wanted to walk away, but thought there are no conditions for saving people. Master said, “all beings are equal ...” (“Eliminating the Evil,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)

Reaching out to people with our message is also a cultivation process. I needed to get rid of attachments that made me want to discriminate and hold fear! The power of kindness is enormous. Under Master’s protection, I talked with this elderly woman while holding strong righteous thoughts. We talked about work and family matters and I told her that reciting the phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” can bring blessings to people.

I clarified the truth to her and helped her quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations using the pseudonym “Lotus Flower.” She liked the name.

What a pity it would have been if I didn’t rectify myself and talk to her. She might have lost the chance of being saved! We must not leave behind any predestined people. I gave her a Dafa amulet, which she took with both hands and thanked me over and over again. 

Woman Shocked at Learning My Age

I was out looking to meet predestined people on the side of the road one time, when dark clouds quickly formed overhead. People quickened their pace and hurried up to reach a safe place. A middle-aged rural woman was on the side of the road, selling shallots and corn silage. I wanted to buy some corn silage and hurry home. The clouds pressed down and seemed to be within reach, so I hurriedly helped her move her things to a shopping store.

I said, “We are really predestined to meet.” She asked my age and was very surprised when I told her I was 60 years old. “If you recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’, you will also look young.

She exclaimed, “You are a Falun Dafa practitioner?!” and whispered, “The Communist Party said that Falun Dafa is not good. You look so clean and beautiful, and you helped me carry so many things. You’re not afraid of getting dirty. You are so kind.”

I told her about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, and that atheism and evolution are wrong and should not be practiced. People are not allowed to believe in Gods or Buddhas anymore. People’s morals are too low, and they’ll do all kinds of bad deeds for personal interest. Heaven will punish the CCP. The pandemic is caused by those bad people.

She quit the CCP’s youth organization using the pseudonym “Tianyuan”, and was very happy with her choice. I told her to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” to keep safe and bring her blessings. She repeated it over and over again. I told her to encourage her family to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” so that they would also be safe in times of crisis.

She responded, “I will! Thank you, thank you!”

After a burst of heavy rain, the ground was washed clean and air freshened. I wandered home, reflecting on everything that happened and my thoughts, and seized the time to rectify myself in Dafa. Only by doing the three things well can we live up to Master’s compassionate salvation, fulfill our vows, and return home with Master.
