(Minghui.org) Nearly twenty Falun Gong practitioners in two neighboring cities in Shandong Province were harassed or arrested in recent months for their spiritual faith.
Shouguang City: Over Ten Practitioners Arrested or Harassed in Late August
The Shouguang City Police Department and its subordinate police stations raided over ten local practitioners’ homes in late August 2025.
Ms. Yang Shifang was home on the afternoon of August 26, when four plainclothes officers from the Jianqiao Police Station broke in. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, flash drives, cell phone, and other valuables. She was detained for one night before being released on bail.
The same police station officers arrested Ms. Dou Chunmei hours later and kept her in custody for a month.
Four plainclothes officers from the Shengcheng Police Station raided Mr. Chu Lijun’s home around noon on August 27. They seized his Falun Gong books and several music players. They also attempted to arrest him and his wife but relented upon the couple’s strong protest.
Officers from the Jianqiao Police Station arrested Ms. Li Aihua at noon on August 27 and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
Qingzhou City: Eight Practitioners Targeted in Mid-October
At least eight Qingzhou residents were arrested or harassed in mid-October 2025. All of them also had their homes raided.
Between 6 and 7 a.m. on October 15, four men and one woman broke into Mr. Zhang Shouxiang’s home. One of them flashed a police ID but did not allow Mr. Zhang to read it. Without a search warrant, they raided his home and confiscated one Falun Gong book, a portrait of Falun Gong’s founder, and other valuables. Mr. Zhang learned later that two of the officers, surnamed Zhang and Wu (badge number 101197), were from the Qingzhou City Police Department, and the other three (one’s badge number was HL0200) were from the local police station. They held Mr. Zhang at a local lockup for two weeks.
Ms. Wang Chunlan and Ms. Li Hongying were each detained at the local lockup for five days. All of Ms. Wang’s Falun Gong books were confiscated. A music player and several magazines containing Falun Gong information were seized from Ms. Li’s home.
Ms. Yang Cailan had one Falun Gong book confiscated during the raid. She was held at the local police station for 3 to 4 hours before being released. Mr. Gao Yuke was held at the same police station for one day.
Ms. Yu Xiuhua, Mr. Gong Jiankui, and Ms. Pan Xiumei were harassed at home.
