(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Nuremberg held a vigil at the Christmas Market in the center of the city on December 20, 2025. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Nuremberg is known as the German city of human rights and is home to a renowned German human rights research center. The Nuremberg International Human Rights Award is well known among human rights organizations and activists worldwide.

It was the last weekend before Christmas, so the renowned Nuremberg Christmas Market was filled with tourists. Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution and encouraged practitioners to persist in their efforts.

A woman lingered in front of the booth and said she wished learn more about the persecution. She said she'd heard about the persecution but wished to know why practitioners were persecuted. A practitioner told her about the CCP’s nature and its history of killing. The woman then asked about Shen Yun and was told the artists’ mission is to revive traditional Chinese culture. The woman said she would go to Berlin and watch the show.
Two tourists from Taiwan took photos of the banner. One of them said that he saw practitioners’ protest of the CCP’s forced organ harvesting in Taiwan and signed the petition. They said that most young people in Taiwan knew about the CCP’s true nature, and an increasing number of elderly people have given up on the CCP. The man said what happened in Hong Kong is a wake-up call for Taiwanese people. They said they would send the photos of the vigil to their friends and let more people know about the CCP’s crimes.

A man from Russia said he knew the CCP was evil. Stalin killed many people and Mao Zedong killed even more. Now the communist countries have banded together to support each other. He said the communist regime disregards human rights and attempts to spread its ideology to western countries. We should clearly understand this and work hard to raise awareness, such as holding vigils.
A couple went to the booth and said they’ve talked to Falun Dafa practitioners for years. The woman said she signed practitioners’ petition ten years ago. They signed this recent petition. When a practitioner gave them the book, Minghui Report: The 20-Year Persecution of Falun Gong in China the woman was moved to tears and said she would read it.
A young Chinese woman said she’s known about Falun Dafa since she was a child in China. She was puzzled when she saw the vigil in the market as she thought that Falun Dafa disappeared after the CCP began persecuting it in China. A practitioner encouraged her to learn more, now that she’s in a free country. She accepted a Chinese language newspaper.

A group of Indian students in Germany said it was the first time they heard about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. They signed the petition. They were also interested in learning Falun Dafa.
