(Minghui.org) A group of police officers followed me in August 2022, and forcibly took me to their local police station because I practice Falun Dafa. They ransacked my home and confiscated anything related to Falun Dafa, including books and Master’s portrait. I was upset and angry.

When they interrogated me, I told them that Falun Dafa has always been legal in China, that citizens have the right to freedom of belief and speech, and that what they were doing violated human rights. I was clearly lecturing them.

A young officer shouted angrily, “How do you explain the Tiananmen self-immolation incident?!” I was jolted awake and realized that these officers were deceived by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda—but I hadn’t approached them with kindness. I softened my tone, and the tense atmosphere eased.

I said, “I’m concerned about your safety.” My eyes were filled with tears. The two police officers ended the interrogation and I was illegally detained for 15 days.

After I returned home, I regretted that there were still many things I hadn’t clarified to those police officers. I wondered if I should go back to the police station and explain the truth about the persecution. However, after years of persecution, in my mind the police station was like a tiger’s den and I didn’t want to enter it again. Still, I felt I should go: I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, and they are sentient beings! Especially during the COVID pandemic, they needed to stay safe and healthy.

I went to the police station, with the excuse of asking to speak with a certain officer about something. Since he was was busy, I clarified the truth to the police in the lobby. I told them that at the end of the Cultural Revolution, those police who had actively participated in the persecution were secretly taken to Yunnan and executed. Their families only received a notice stating they had died in the line of duty. I explained that Falun Dafa practitioners strive to be good people guided by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I told the policemen that if they do not actively involve themselves in the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, they won’t be held accountable in the future, and that this is how they can protect themselves and their families. Some police officers nodded and agreed to act accordingly.

I went to the police station four times. Nearly every officer there heard me clarify the truth. The younger ones often called me “Sis” and treated me like an older sister.

In August 2024, while I distributed information about Falun Dafa, I was reported to the police again. The police station I was taken to did not want to handle my case so I was transferred to the local police station where my residence was registered. When I arrived, an officer greeted me with a sorrowful expression and said, “Why have you been arrested again?” He added, “What about your mother at home alone?”

Because my mother was too old to communicate effectively, they called one of my relatives instead. After the relative hurried over, the instructor quietly told her, “Go to her house and pack up her things. We’ll be conducting a search there shortly, following ‘protocol’.”

The relative replied, “There’s no time for that! How about you just search my place instead?” The instructor agreed.

The so-called “law enforcement process” required full video recording. I was handcuffed and escorted to a vehicle by three officers. I noticed that they changed into plainclothes. The car arrived at my relative’s residential complex. To avoid drawing the neighbors’ attention, the police covered my handcuffs with their clothes.

After entering my relative’s home, they changed back into their uniforms and began “enforcing the law” in front of the camera. They pointed to a wardrobe and asked, “Are those your clothes?” When my relative said yes, they searched it, the bookshelf and other areas. Everyone understood that it was all “for show.”

One young detective at the police station was initially very harsh toward me. I was not affected by his attitude. I said, “Actually, you are a kind person.”

He was surprised, “Am I kind?”

I replied firmly, “Yes, you are very kind!” After that, he treated me with courtesy.

Looking back on these experiences, I feel deeply that when I changed, the police changed as well. These precious lives deserve to be saved.
