(Minghui.org) The Minghui.org website published 91 articles that were submitted to the online 22nd China Fa Conference from November 9 to December 3, 2025. Many Falun Dafa practitioners in Canada said they gained new understandings and perspectives after reading the English translations of the selected submissions on the website. One practitioner said he realized that he’d gradually been gravitating towards comfort, but an experience sharing article helped him find the motivation he once had. Another practitioner said her understanding on the importance of righteous thoughts in ending the persecution improved, and she learned that one can only improve in cultivation by uprooting hidden attachments.

Becoming Alert to Comfort

Jason said he was moved by the sharing: “Looking Within Helps Us Overcome Difficulties.” The author grew up studying Falun Dafa books and doing the exercises with her parents. After the persecution started, she witnessed her parents suffer police harassment, and her mother was imprisoned because she refused to renounce her faith. After she married, she fell into an endless cycle of being in debt and paying off debts. Her mother-in-law often criticized her. Since childhood the tribulations never seemed to stop.

After looking within, she gradually let go of her attachment to self interest, and realized that her fundamental notion was “not wanting to suffer in the secular world.” She asked herself, “How do I improve in cultivation if my mother-in-law has money, cooks for the family, takes care of my child, and is of protective of me?”

Jason was impressed by the author’s ability to see things from a different perspective. Instead of complaining about hardships, the author seized these opportunities to improve, and dig out and eliminate her fundamental attachments. Looking within, Jason found that his fundamental attachment was wanting a better life through cultivation. He said that it’s natural for people to seek personal interest and avoid harm—so people subconsciously avoid hardships. “But as Falun Dafa practitioners, we must willingly endure hardships. This is what touched me most about this article,” he said.

After Jason began practicing, his hepatitis disappeared and he became healthy. He was grateful for Falun Dafa’s healing power. After graduating from a reputable school, he landed a decent job. The article helped him understand that cultivation isn’t about healing and fitness, but to improve one’s character in both good times and bad.

His decades-long stable lifestyle caused Jason tremendous interference. “I worked hard because I wanted to achieve things so others would envy me. Would I take it lightly if no one noticed my money and designer’s clothes? A comfortable lifestyle brought me attachments to comfort, self interest, and competitiveness. The article alerted me not to lose myself in the illusion of a comfortable life,” he said.

Entering Tranquility

Teresa began practicing Falun Dafa in Canada, and was constantly interfered with by thought karma. After reading “Solidly Cultivate, Eliminate Thought Karma,” she said the article inspired her a lot and showed her how to identify and eliminate thought karma. Having similar experiences as the author, Teresa said, “For a long time when I meditated or I did the second exercise, I couldn’t become tranquil. Fame, fortune, lust, and passion endlessly interfered with me. I had too many attachments and my mind wasn’t pure, which prevented me from entering a tranquil state.”

Teresa never paid much attention to the frequently-emerging thoughts when she did the exercises until recently. “They are not mine—they are interference. I just couldn’t help it—I fell into the train of thoughts created by thought karma,” she said. From the article she saw the importance of rectifying every thought. “The second a bad thought emerges, we should know that it doesn’t conform to the teachings. We need to eliminate these attachments and things that don’t conform to the teachings. Without these attachments, our thoughts can be pure and we can keep a calm mind,” she said.

Deny the Persecution and Interference with Dafa’s Principles

The author of the article “The Importance of Clearly Understanding Fa-Rectification Cultivation” shared his view on the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. She said that practitioners shouldn’t just passively endure the persecution. Instead they should negate the persecution and know that they came here to save people. The persecution hurts practitioners and people’s perception of Falun Dafa. So, we should send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind the CCP and end the persecution. The author shared several stories of how she got out of danger by sending righteous thoughts.

The sharing touched Izabella, who lives in Toronto. She said, “The persecution in China is pure evil. It targets Falun Dafa practitioners, and the goal is to defame, bankrupt, and eliminate them. In Canada, although there isn’t a persecution, there is interference.”

She explained that her family suffered two years of financial crisis. “My husband was the main source of income, and we needed both our salaries to pay our monthly expenses and loans. Suddenly his health declined and he had to stop working. To pay the bills, I did what a non-practitioner would, and took out a loan, creating more debt,” she said.

Through studying Master’s lectures, she understood that she shouldn’t rely on paying one loan by taking out another, but should work harder to pay off the first loan. She also realized that when dealing with her husband, she didn’t follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said, “On the surface, I was attached to money and fame. Deep down, I was selfish and I lacked compassion – I complained to my husband about our situation instead of being concerned about his health. An outsider may think that I did my duty as his wife by taking him to doctors and getting treatments such as acupuncture and massage. In my heart, I knew I didn’t think like a practitioner. After I saw my fundamental attachments, our financial situation improved significantly.”

Truly Look Within

The author of “Looking Within Helps Us Overcome Difficulties” repeatedly asked herself whether she was willing to suffer. Ms. Lu, a saleswoman in Montreal, became emotional when she read this. The author went from being reluctant to genuinely willing to suffer. The moment she let go of the notion of “not wanting to suffer,” she experienced the feeling of emptiness.

Ms. Lu said, “The author asked herself the same question for half an hour. She couldn’t willingly suffer at first, but she was determined and had an indestructible will like diamond. In that half an hour, she focused her mind on overcoming that notion until she eliminated it. Her transformation was amazing.”

Ms. Lu wished that she had that kind of determination to truly look within and cultivate. “I didn’t quite know what it meant to look within. As soon as I found an attachment, I thought I did something right and I stopped looking. Now I know that genuinely looking within means uprooting deeply-hidden attachments unconditionally. That’s cultivation.”

Ms. Lu’s friend in China recommended that she read Zhuan Falun, and introduced her to the practice. “Zhuan Falun revealed the secret of life for me,” she said, “Master asks us to become altruistic and considerate. We need to continually forsake all elements of self in cultivation. My understanding is, the less selfish we are, the more relaxed and happier we become. When I did this I could feel joy from the bottom of my heart.”
