Car Accident Showcases the Moral Standard of Dafa Practitioners

(Minghui.org) I’m 70 years old and live in the countryside. I started practicing Falun Dafa in 2007, and have studied the Fa and done the exercises according to Master Li’s requirements. Master purified my body, and I’ve not had to take any pills or injections over the past 17 years. I’m full of energy and have walked on my cultivation path to this day because Master has endured so much for me. Only by diligently cultivating can I repay his compassionate salvation.

I rode an electric tricycle with another practitioner to the market on August 13, 2018, to clarify the truth to people. When we arrived, there were not many around, so we ran some errands first. After riding for a while, the bike started clattering. The practitioner sitting in the passenger seat thought I might have accidentally touched the brake lever, but I was sure I hadn’t. I continued riding forward, but I later realized Master was giving me a hint not to keep riding because there was danger ahead.

I was about to cross a road and stopped to look around. There was nothing coming from the west, but there was an eastbound vehicle that seemed far away from us. I should have had time to cross the road, so I rode on. When I got near the other side, I heard a “bang,” and we flew off the bike and fell to the curb of the sidewalk. It was a hard fall, and we almost fell into a ditch. Thanks to Master’s protection, we were clear-headed and shouted out, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Master, please save us!”

We slowly got up and stood on the sidewalk. I didn’t have any injuries. The other practitioner had a big bump on her head because she hit the curbstone, but she didn’t feel any pain. The electric bike slid more than ten meters and went into the ditch. The large vehicle that hit us stopped on the sidewalk and couldn’t move. There was a pile of wreckage from the impact. I was thinking, “My small electric bike was not damaged, but that large vehicle was totaled.” My companion said, “Didn’t you hear it? At the moment of the collision, I heard a ‘bang.’ That was not the sound of the vehicle hitting the bike. It was Master who sent a Falun to block it from hitting us.” It was just as Master said:

“If you are a true cultivator, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone could harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

The young man who was driving the vehicle was so scared when he saw us get thrown from the bike that his calves seized up. It took him quite a while to get out of his vehicle. He asked us anxiously, “How badly did you fall? Let me take you to a hospital.”

We told him that we were fine, “We are Falun Dafa practitioners and have Master’s protection.”

The other practitioner told the driver that he was driving too fast. He responded, “I helped my parents with some work this morning and was running late. I was in a hurry to get to work.”

We asked him if he had heard of Falun Dafa. He replied, “I have. When I was delivering goods, many of your people told me that Falun Dafa is good, and they helped me quit the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and gave me an amulet.”

I said, “You are blessed today because you believe in the goodness of Falun Dafa, and you quit the CCP. If it weren’t for Master’s protection, this accident would have been a big deal. Not only would the electric bike have been damaged, but we’re also over 60 years old and could have broken some bones, or much worse.”

He responded, “Yes, auntie. I thank Dafa’s Master.”

There were people at the scene who helped pull the bike out of the ditch. Miraculously, the bike was still rideable. The driver’s wife put the seat back on and the bike worked. It was really amazing!

The driver wanted to get his insurance company to pay us for the damage, but we declined, telling him that we didn’t want any money. But he wouldn’t listen, and picked up his phone and called the insurance company. Two insurance representatives came a little while later. They saw that my companion’s sleeves were torn, and the seat of the bike had come off, so they said, “How about this, each of you gets 600 yuan. You buy new clothes and fix the bike.” We still declined to take the money, so the driver said, “It’s not a lot of money, so please take it. I’d feel bad if you didn’t.”

He was clearly feeling guilty, so we felt we had no choice but to accept it. On the way home, we discussed this matter and felt that something was not right, as our accepting compensation was not in line with the Fa. We decided to return it.

Fortunately, we knew the village the driver was from and went there on another day. He was not home, and his wife didn’t want to take the money. We said, “We are Falun Dafa practitioners. Our Master taught us to be good people and think of others. We have Master’s protection and didn’t get hurt, so we can’t take the money.”

His wife thanked us and agreed that we’re really good people. We exclaimed, “We thank Dafa’s Master. It is our Master who taught us to do this!”

His wife kept saying, “Thank you to Dafa’s Master!”
