(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an information day event at Apeldoor in the Netherlands on May 31, 2025. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed fliers, and told people about Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in China.

The weather was nice during the event, and many people were enjoying the sunshine. Practitioners set up display boards and banners exposing the persecution in China, and did the exercises.

People approached the display boards and information stand, wanting to know more about what was happening in China and what the practitioners were doing. People were shocked by the CCP’s persecution in China and signed a petition calling to stop the brutality. People also encouraged practitioners, expressing their hope that more people could work together to stop the persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrate the exercises, distribute flyers, and clarify the facts in Apeldoor on May 31, 2025.

A Chinese woman came over to talk to the practitioners before the display boards were fully set up. A practitioner chatted with her about how people would do many bad things if they did not have faith and moral standards.

The woman asked, “Why do people cultivate? Is cultivation practice real?” The practitioner explained her understandings of cultivation practice, the hardships she had experienced in her life, the pain and anxiety she felt when she was attached to something and could not get satisfaction, and her own experiences of practicing and feeling the great freedom of life. While listening to the practitioner, tears welled up in the Chinese woman’s eyes, and she expressed her desire to learn more about Falun Gong. She also wrote down the Falun Dafa website address so that she could read Falun Dafa books.

An Indonesian woman sat under a big tree across from the information stand and watched attentively as a practitioner demonstrated the exercises. She asked another practitioner whether the one demonstrating the exercises was a real person or a robot. “I’ve been watching for quite a while, and his movements have been at a constant speed, as if they were happening automatically,” she said. When she learned that this soothing and beautiful practice has been brutally suppressed in China for 26 years, she signed a petition calling to end the persecution without hesitation.

An older woman signed the petition and asked, “These [principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance] are what I believe in and what I need. I want to learn the exercises. Are you coming only this time, or do you come every day? How can I learn it?”

A gentleman signed the petition and said to a practitioner that they could continue the information day activity the following day, as it would be an open day too. He was very interested in reading Zhuan Falun and only left after he found the website to download and read the book.

A Chinese student read the display board about Falun Dafa’s spread around the world for a long time. He then asked a Falun Gong practitioner, “What is the difference between Falun Gong and other religions?”

The practitioner answered that Falun Dafa requires practitioners to truly follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be good people, improve their morality, improve their health, and benefit society. The difference is that Falun Dafa focuses on introspection and self-improvement, rather than advocating external forms of worship.

They continued to discuss the meanings of Truthfulness. The Chinese student agreed with what he heard and said that he didn’t like the CCP and knew about the bad things it has done. He was very curious about Falun Gong and wanted to learn more about it. The practitioner suggested that he read Zhuan Falun without any preconceptions and gave him the Falun Dafa website address. The student said with satisfaction, “Sure thing, I want to read this book!”
