Those Who Practice Falun Gong Are Truly Good People

(Minghui.org) I went to Beijing in July 1999 to protest the persecution of Falun Gong. As soon as I returned home, I was arrested and detained in a local detention center before being illegally sent to a forced labor camp for one year.

Those Who Practice Falun Gong Are Truly Good People

Every day in the detention center, I recited the poems in Hong Yin and copied them on paper. Other inmates liked those beautiful poems and wanted to read them. One girl with excellent handwriting skills even helped make copies available for the inmates. We only had to clean the floors and the restrooms, so we often had free time to recite the poems. After reading the Fa for a while, many of them have become good people.

Two female inmates were imprisoned for gang robbery. They were poisoned by the culture of the Chinese Communist Party, and their lives were filled with lies, evil, and infighting despite both of them coming from well-off families. They would fight with each other over any minor thing. I had counseled them with principles such as “Don’t fight back when beaten or sworn at.” They finally stopped fighting, and one of them even learned to do the exercises from me.

One morning, this girl excitedly said to me, “ I had a dream. In the dream, I saw a Falun Gong school in a rural area, and lights were rotating around everywhere (perhaps Law Wheels). Many students, young and old, were in a large classroom, and a teacher was lecturing at the podium. I was not allowed to leave before the class ended. Then, my family sent me a copy of Zhuan Falun. From the book, I realized that the teacher was really Master Li Hongzhi.”

Also jailed was one woman who conspired with her lover to kill her husband. After reading the Fa, she regretted her immoral behavior. She said that she would not have committed the crime if she had met me earlier.

Another woman was detained for drug trafficking. Her celestial eye was open. Seeing us practice, she said to me, “A great battle between good and evil was ongoing in heaven. I fell from heaven, and the evil was still harassing my family. Your practice is what I have been looking for to help me return to heaven. I will embark on the cultivation path and will also introduce Falun Gong to my drug trafficking partner.”

During that time, the prison guards no longer had to worry about managing the detention center. They often asked me to tell inmates in other wards about Falun Gong. They believed that only Falun Gong could calm down the inmates. They felt that the government made a mistake, and imprisoning selfless practitioners was a loss to the country. They often praised me in public, “Those who practice Falun Gong are truly good people!"

“Falun Dafa Is Good!” Echoed Daily in Detention Center

In 2004, one male fellow practitioner and I were arrested for making Dafa materials and illegally detained in a unisex detention center. Most of the male inmates were drug traffickers and addicts. Through our truth clarification, they knew the facts about Falun Gong and voluntarily served as liaisons to pass on information for us.

One inmate was the son of a local government official. He was seriously wounded in combat against the Vietnamese. He became addicted to painkillers used in his treatment. He was sent to this facility for detoxification. He shouted loudly every day due to discomfort from the detoxification, and the prison guards didn’t dare to intervene. My male fellow practitioner then clarified the truth to this inmate. He told him to recite “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!"

As soon as this inmate started to recite, his discomfort subsided. Later, he loudly chanted “Falun Dafa is good” several times around 3 a.m. every morning. Other inmates then followed suit, and they all personally experienced the miraculous health effects of Dafa.

Many female inmates in my ward were also drug offenders. They listened when I sang the songs “Falun Dafa is good” and “For you.” After learning the songs, they no longer sang love songs, and these two Dafa songs could be heard loudly anytime in our ward. Then, men and women in other wards loved the songs and followed suit.

Later, every evening, the inmates in our ward would sing first, and the inmates in the other wards would then take turns singing loudly as if they were in a relay race. That was the happiest time of the day for everyone.

During the time we were detained, those people who understood the truth would clearly shout “Falun Dafa is good” a few times every morning and end with the song “Falun Dafa is Good” in the evening. The righteous singing sound echoed throughout the entire detention center, and the prison guards on duty never interfered. Buddha-light illuminates everywhere!

According to inmates who were acquainted with the prison guards, the guards secretly watched the practitioners. They saw us proactively cleaning all places in the detention center. They praised Dafa practitioners and had a great respect for Master Li.
