“Our Factory Is Always Open to You”

(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) in 1998. In less than a month, my asthma, back and leg pain, toothaches, heart disease, and other ailments all disappeared. Falun Dafa is truly miraculous! I firmly resolved to cultivate to the very end.

“Our Factory Is Always Open to You.”

When I worked at a towel factory, the scissors we used to repair towels had to be sharpened frequently. I offered to sharpen my coworkers’ scissors and even bought a whetstone so I could sharpen them at home in my spare time. My coworkers said they appreciated it.

The toilet at work often got clogged. When no one fixed it, I worked on it after hours. It was especially difficult in the winter. I had to use boiling water to unclog it and scrub it clean. My coworkers were amazed and gave me a thumbs-up. When the owner’s wife found out, she tried to compensate me for my efforts, but I told her, “If I wanted to make money, I wouldn’t be doing this. I practice Falun Dafa, and being a good person according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the core of its teachings.”

She did give me more flexibility at work. My coworkers and I became friendlier, which made it easier for me to explain the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution to them. Most of them, including the owner’s entire family, quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

Because of the persecution of Falun Dafa, CCP agents frequently harassed the factory, asking the owner if I was distributing truth-clarification flyers or talking to people about the practice. The owner’s wife said, “I don't know anything about that. I only know that she’s a good worker.” She always protected me.

When I later decided to go work at a different factory so that I could clarify the truth to new people, she tried to persuade me to stay, saying, “Our factory will always be open to you. You are welcome to come back anytime.”

Encounter at a Market

While I was talking to people about Falun Dafa at a market, I heard a vegetable vendor in her 60s negotiating the price with a customer. She said, “We work so hard. We went to the fields early this morning to harvest the vegetables, then traveled over ten miles to get here. We have not even eaten yet. We’d have to sell half of this truckload of vegetables to pay for a meal here.”

Feeling bad for her, I went home, wrapped up some cake, and returned to the market. She was shocked when I gave it to her and said, “Thank you. You are so kind.”

I said, “You should thank Master Li. I practice Falun Dafa and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” I then shared facts about Falun Dafa that countered the CCP’s lies and propaganda, and she readily withdrew from the Young Pioneers.

A Second Opportunity

On my way home one day, I saw an elderly woman I recognized collecting discarded yams by the side of the road. She’d put them in two bags and was having trouble securing them onto her bicycle. I’d spoken with her a few days earlier, but she had refused to listen to what I said about Falun Dafa and had even said some disrespectful things.

I offered to help her. I put the large bag on my electric bike and the small one on her bicycle. After we got to her village, she invited me to her home. I shared current information about Falun Dafa with her. She finally understood and quit the CCP. I was happy for her.

On my spiritual journey, I am constantly under Master’s compassionate protection.
