(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Liu Hong Faces Trial
2. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lu Baozhen Faces Trial
3. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wei Changbao on Hunger Strike in Detention Center
4. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanfang Arrested
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Tao Wenhong Arrested
6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Jianhong Harassed
7. [Chongqing] Four Elderly Female Practitioners Arrested
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Liu Hong Faces Trial
Practitioner Liu Hong, an accountant, was arrested by Dongling District Police Department on September 7, 2025, at Qipanshan Scenic Area. Liu’s home was ransacked. Liu has been held in Shenyang City First Detention Center. Liu was scheduled to appear in the Hunnan District Court on March 5, 2026.
2. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lu Baozhen Faces Trial
Ms. Lu Baozhen was arrested by officers from the Political Security Division of Kaili City Police Department in November 2025. She was held in the Kaili City Shelter and later released on bail due to her elevated blood pressure. She was scheduled to be tried by the Kaili City Court on March 2.
3. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wei Changbao on Hunger Strike in Detention Center
Mr. Wei Changbao was arrested on November 20, 2025. Over 500,000 yuan in cash and a large number of personal items were confiscated. He is currently being held at the Mengyin County Detention Center. He has gone on hunger strike to protest the persecution.
4. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanfang Arrested
Two officers from Gangwan Police Station went to Ms. Li Yanfang’s home on the evening of February 5, 2026. She was still at work, but her son was home. They ransacked the place and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other items. After Ms. Li returned home and found out about the raid, she went to the police station. The officers said that someone had reported her for placing a Falun Gong flyer on his doorknob. They ordered her to return the next morning to pick up her Falun Gong books.
When Ms. Li returned to the police station as instructed, she was arrested upon arrival and taken to the Rongcheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for a physical exam. The police attempted to detain her at the Weihai City Lockup for 10 days. The guards refused to admit her due to the upcoming Chinese New Year on February 17. The police released her, threatening to take her back into custody after the Chinese New Year.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Tao Wenhong Arrested
Ms. Tao Wenhong was arrested on February 26, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She experienced a physical condition at the police station and was admitted to Xianshuigu Hospital. She was hospitalized for two days and then released.
6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Jianhong Harassed
Officers from Mengzhi Police Station and personnel from Mengzhi Neighborhood Committee broke into Ms. Gao Jianhong’s home to harass her in October 2025. They warned her not to put up Falun Gong materials in public places.
7. [Chongqing] Four Elderly Female Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Yu Shulin, Wan, Wang, and another practitioner whose name isn’t known, all from Dadukou District, were arrested by Tiaodeng Town Police Station officers on the afternoon of February 28, 2026, after studying Falun Gong’s teaching together.
