One Sentence Disintegrated the Evil and Ended the Brainwashing Session

(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa for years and I’ve had many insights, yet I feel that they are nothing special. Encouraged by local practitioners, I decided to write about a small experience I had on my cultivation journey.

The incident happened while I was illegally detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. A young female guard gathered us in a classroom and was going to give a “special feature lecture” to the Falun Dafa practitioners detained there. The real purpose of her lecture was to brainwash us by instilling the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) doctrines in order to interfere with our way of thinking. She stood at the podium, shouting commands and demonstrating movements, and she ordered us to follow along with her.

I then recalled something Master said:

“The old forces have arranged for all Dafa disciples a set of their things, so if a Dafa disciple doesn’t follow Master’s requirements, he must be following the old forces’ arrangements.” (“Be Clearheaded,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)

Master also told us not to comply with any of the CCP’s demands, orders, or directives. Having recalled these Fa principles, I thought, “Why should I listen to her? I won’t follow her commands under any circumstances.”

Although I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it, I was determined not to follow her orders. I stood up when she told me to sit down, and I sat up when she told me to lie down. I kept doing the opposite of what she ordered me to do.

The other practitioners were concerned about me—they were afraid I might face severe punishment for going against her. But I only had one thought, “I have no fear when I have Master!”

Seeing that her tactic wasn’t working, the guard immediately changed her approach and pretended to be kind while trying to talk to me. I refused to listen to her, and I wouldn’t budge no matter what she said. I wasn’t afraid and I remained calm. Finally, she ran out of options and asked me, “What are you going to do when your term is up and you get to go home?”

Without hesitation, I said, “I will do what I’m supposed to do!”

The moment those words left my mouth, we heard a loud “bang!”

We were all startled and couldn’t believe what we saw. The guard had fallen onto the podium. She tried to get up but couldn’t no matter how hard she tried. She finally managed to get up, but her clothes were torn and wrinkled, her pants were lopsided, her shoes were askew, and her face was covered in dust and dirt. She looked utterly disheveled and stood awkwardly by the podium.

We couldn’t help but burst into laughter. And just like that, the brainwashing session ended in this dramatic reversal of events.

Just one sentence, one casual remark, held such immense power. It shattered the arrogance of the evil. Because I hadn’t studied the Fa much, I didn’t quite understand why things happened that way. But I knew it was the power of Dafa, and it was all Master’s doing. I realized that my actions were aligned with the Fa and conformed to the standard of the Fa at a certain level; therefore, the power of the Fa manifested, instantly disintegrating the evil elements.

This is merely my personal insight, and it may not be particularly profound. Please kindly correct me if I’m mistaken.
