Additional Persecution News from China – March 16, 2026 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial
2. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cheng Bencai Detained
3. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Shengping Facing Indictment
4. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Jirong Harassed
5. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Lahuai Harassed
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Ms. Xiao Genxiang, Ms. Shi Xiurong and Zhang were scheduled to stand trial at the Xihu District Court on March 17, 2026.

2. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cheng Bencai Detained

Ms. Cheng Bencai was arrested in mid-January 2026 and is currently held at the Weihai City Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Shengping Facing Indictment

Ms. Liu Shengping was arrested at home in Fangshan District on October 29, 2026, by officers from the Haidian District Police Department. She has been held at the Haidian District Detention Center since.

Ms. Liu was issued a formal arrest warrant in November 2025. The Haidian District Procuratorate returned her case to the police in January 2026, citing insufficient evidence.

4. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Jirong Harassed

Ms. Wang Jirong was harassed by Majin Town Police Station officers on the morning of March 11, 2026. The police forcibly took photos of her.

5. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Lahuai Harassed

Ms. Tao Lahuai, a retired kindergarten teacher, was harassed at home in late February 2026. The police tore down three couplets and confiscated an MP3 player. Many other practitioners in Macheng District were also harassed during that period.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Guo Peng, 28, Mr. Ye Changguo, 65, Mr. Yuan Xiufeng, 49, and Mr. Sun Zhanting, 79, were arrested by Gongrenchun Police Station officers on the morning of March 13, 2026. The police ransacked Mr. Sun’s home and confiscated his computer, printer, and Falun Gong books. The four practitioners are currently held at the Tiexi District Detention Center.
