Arnhem Residents Express Their Support for Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an information day in Arnhem on April 25, 2026. Many people learned about Falun Gong and expressed their support.

Practitioners set up banners and flyers at Velperplein that morning. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and told people about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes practitioners. Many people were interested and stopped to talk. Some learned the exercises at the location.

Local residents Val Moulon, her husband Wel, and her mother noticed the activity and stopped to talk to practitioners. Val said, “We like your exercises. The movements are beautiful!”

After hearing about the CCP’s persecution, all three of them signed the petition calling to stop it. Wel said, “Everyone should have freedom of belief!” They agreed with Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and encouraged practitioners to let more people know about the persecution.

Three friends, Jana, Sane, and Angelina, talked to the practitioners. Jana said, “No one should be treated cruelly for his belief. I really hope to help stop the persecution! What you are doing is so important!” Sane said, “A government can’t mistreat people of faith just because it doesn’t like their belief.”

The city of Arnhem dispatched police to ensure the practitioners’ safety, because they were attacked during an event in 2025. An officer gave the practitioners his cell phone number to contact in case of emergency and told them, “You are protected. Feel free to give me a call if there are any issues.”
