People in South Africa Hope the Persecution Ends Soon

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in Cape Town to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the April 25 appeal. They talked to passersby at a busy intersection and told them about the appeal and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Dafa.

Tulani, a police officer on duty, listened to a practitioner’s explanation of the event. He said, “I hope the Chinese government ends the persecution soon. Have you given the flyers to my coworkers?”

Gagiso is a taxi driver from Congo. After reading a flyer a practitioner gave him, he commended Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. When he was told how the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa and about the April 25 appeal, he said, “Persecution harms people. It is terrible.”

Sinpiwe, who works at a gasoline station, was pleased to accept a flyer. He said, “South Africa needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. After hearing about the persecution, I support you and I hope it ends soon.”

Employees from a nearby office building were out buying breakfast when practitioners told them about the appeal and the CCP’s persecution. They expressed their sympathy and praised the practitioners’ courage. One employee said, “The CCP abuses its power. Meditating is a way to relax. Why destroying a peaceful thing?” Another said, “This kind of power is undoubtedly problematic. People should have the right to live in peace and practice their faith; beating innocent people is wrong.”

Colin from Johannesburg, who has practiced Dafa for years, said, “This persecution is severe. This is genocide; it is unjust and wrong. People should have freedom of belief.”

Andrie, another practitioner from Johannesburg, said, “Despite the decades of persecution, Falun Dafa practitioners continue to steadfastly uphold their spiritual practice and pass on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to the next generation—and to the world at large. From the practitioners in China, we learn not to surrender our rights and freedoms, but rather to cherish them. It’s wrong to persecute Dafa.”
