(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa participated in the annual Familienfest held at the Stadtpark in Graz on April 26, 2026. With spring just around the corner, Familienfest attracted many families.

The various organizations that participated provided a wide variety of activities such as athletic events, creative handicraft, and play facilities. The event organizers distributed a stamp collection card to every child and parent that participated in the event, so that they could have their card stamped after every experience or when they completed an activity.

Practitioners at the Falun Dafa booth prepared two activities for the children. One was being shown the Falun Dafa exercises, and the other was to make an origami lotus flower.

Children Enjoy the Falun Dafa Exercises

The children were intrigued by Falun Dafa, and a steady stream of them learned to do the exercises. The parents also learned about the practice, including the brutal 27-year-long persecution in China. Many people signed a petition to show their support in calling for an end to the forced organ harvesting.

While one boy learned the exercises, his mother told a practitioner that her husband was an international exchange teacher, and they had lived in China for many years. They personally witnessed the repressive nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After she learned that she was pregnant, the couple left China. “I did not want my children to be exposed to that,” she said.

Two girls learned the meditation exercises. Their mother said that both of her daughters were very interested in Chinese culture, so they especially wanted to come and try out the exercises. The girls took many Falun Dafa materials and said they wanted to join the local exercise group.

Children Make Lotus Flowers

A banner inviting visitors to learn to make lotus flowers attracted many children. After they made their own, some children brought their friends to make lotus flowers.

A father brought his daughter over to make lotus flowers. When he learned that the lotus flower represents beauty, purity, and spirituality in traditional Chinese culture, he said that he had planted a lotus seed in his fish tank, and it's now almost covered with blooming lotus flowers. “What a sacred meaning this has!” he exclaimed. He reminded his daughter to cherish the lotus flower that she made.

The event started at 10 a.m. and continued until 4 p.m. The event organizers thanked the practitioners for participating.
