(Minghui.org) A 58-year-old man in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, was sentenced to four years for his faith in Falun Gong, Minghui.org learned recently.
Mr. Ge Xin was arrested on July 12, 2025, by officers from the Leifeng Police Station. While held in the Fushun City Detention Center, he fell into a coma and was rushed to the Coal Mine Bureau Hospital.
The police kept the unconscious Mr. Ge shackled in the hospital despite his family’s protest. He was found to have a brain tumor and brain bleeding.
It is unclear when Mr. Ge was discharged from the hospital, but the police took him straight to a nursing home. He is unable to walk and remains bedridden to this day. The police put him under close surveillance and did not allow his family or others to visit him. His loved ones found out about his prison sentence recently, but still do not know anything else about his prosecution.
