(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Suping and Her Son Taken to Prison

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wang Detained
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Suping and Her Son Taken to Prison
Ms. Lu Suping and her son, Mr. Jiang Nan, were both sentenced to six years by the Linghai City Court on December 26, 2025. Mr. Jiang was admitted to the sixth division of the Nanshan Prison on May 14 or 15, 2026. Ms. Lu was transferred from Jinzhou Women’s Detention Center to the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison on May 21, 2026. Two days before the transfer, the detention center notified her elder brother that he could visit her. She was carried out by two people, as she had trouble walking.
2. [Beihai City, Guangxi Province] Mr. Tang Falong Arrested
Mr. Tang Falong was arrested at his rental place in Yinhai District on June 1, 2026. He had also been arrested in 2025 elsewhere. He was detained for two weeks and tortured.
3. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners’ Appeals Cases Accepted
Ms. Li Yufang, Ms. Cui Xiuju, and Ms. Luan Yanping were sentenced to prison on March 13, 2026. Ms. Cui and Ms. Luan were both given three years and nine months in prison with a 20,000-yuan fine. Ms. Li received two years and six months in prison with a 10,000-yuan fine. They appealed with Yantai City Intermediate Court, which accepted the cases on April 20.
Judge Wu Guoyan of the appeals court initially denied Ms. Li’s family from reviewing her case document. After repeated requests, he allowed them to review the documents and transcribe the content. However, he later reversed his decision, only allowing them to review the documents without making copies or taking photographs.
4. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Lihui Detained
Ms. Yan Lihui was stopped by four plainclothes police officers shortly after she went out at around 6 a.m. on September 10, 2024. They claimed that someone had reported her for distributing Falun Gong materials. They ransacked her home, and confiscated over 50 Falun Gong books, a personal computer, and other belongings. They took her to the Tuanchengshan Police Station for interrogation. She refused to sign the paperwork, but the police forced her daughter to sign it on her behalf. She was admitted to a local lockup at 1 a.m. for 10 days.
5. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Zhuan Harassed
Mr. Li Zhuan was harassed at home on May 28, 2026, by officials from Xicao Village and two police officers. They searched his place and confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong.
Ms. Li was also harassed in December 2025. Many of his Falun Gong books were confiscated.
6. [Beijing] Practitioner Wang Fangliang Released After 37 Days of Detention
Wang Fangliang was released on June 1, 2026, after 37 days of detention.
7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wang Detained
Practitioner Wang was recorded by surveillance cameras on or around May 15, 2026, mailing Falun Gong materials. He was arrested by Beijing Street Police Station officers and detained for 15 days. He has been released.
