(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Antwerp, Belgium introduced Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) to passersby on Saturday August 8, 2026.

Since 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Gong because it became so popular after it was made public in China in the early 1990s.

The practitioners set up a booth on the Meir, the main pedestrian shopping street in Antwerp, to inform people about the spiritual discipline and let them know that it is being persecuted in China.

Many people paused to watch the slow-moving exercises and asked practitioners questions to find out more about the practice, which is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Some also signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, including Uyghurs and Tibetans as well as Falun Gong practitioners.

Zahia, who works in a laboratory, saw the exercise demonstration while out for a weekend walk. She spoke with a practitioner and signed the petition, saying she would learn more online and do her part to help stop the persecution.

She added, “Forced organ harvesting is terrible. More people need to know about this.”

Reading the words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance on the flyer, Zahia said, “I think they are extraordinarily meaningful. I hope more people can understand.”

“Forced Organ Harvesting Should End Immediately”

Situated near the Dutch, German, and French borders, the city of Antwerp brings together people from diverse backgrounds.

Mina, originally from the Philippines, said she had heard of organ trafficking but did not know about the state-sanctioned atrocities in China.

When she heard the description of forced organ harvesting from living victims in China, Mina said, “This is extremely selfish, because they [the Chinese regime] only care about money. They are committing murder. Forced organ harvesting should end immediately.”

High school students Rune and Wilona stood among the onlookers, watching the exercise demonstration and chatting as they pointed to the display boards. When they heard what a practitioner said about the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, they were stunned.

Wilona said, “Organ donation should be voluntary. It’s hard to believe. Think about how lucky we are here, while people over there don’t even have the right to keep their own organs.”

Computer science researcher Mohamed was visiting from Lille, France, with his young son. They watched the exercises and looked at the information on the display boards.

Mohamed was shocked to hear about the human rights abuses that practitioners in China suffer. He said, “It is completely unjustifiable that they are persecuted simply for believing in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.”

Looking at his son, he continued, “These are very natural values—things we ought to teach our children. There is no reason whatsoever to torture or kill those who believe in these principles.”

Ilkay enjoys dancing and practicing martial arts. She stopped to watch the exercise demonstration and shared her spiritual insights.

“[Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance] are very sacred—like the will of God,” she said. “The more peaceful one is internally, the more harmoniously one can coexist with the outside world.”

She said cultivation can help people stay clear-headed and have kind thoughts, adding, “You can walk in your own light instead of remaining in the shadows.”

Ilkay recalled a news report many years ago about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. She said, “Because you represent the light, while they [the perpetrators] are in the shadows.” She hopes to let more people know about the persecution.
