(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in the Luminous Lantern Parade in Brisbane on July 31 to introduce Falun Dafa. A flagship event of the Queensland Multicultural Month, the popular parade at South Bank Parklands attracts many residents and visitors. Many of them praised Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

South Bank Parklands was illuminated as night fell, where thousands of artistic lanterns were gradually lit along the riverbank, creating a dazzling spectacle. These vibrant, colorful lanterns complemented one another, forming a radiant sea of light. More than 10,000 residents and visitors participated in this grand multicultural community event, sharing an unforgettable evening—a blend of color, culture, and music.

Falun Dafa practitioners’ heavenly maiden dance, waist drum team, exercise demonstration, and dragon dance were welcomed by parade attendees and were greeted with rounds of applause.

Japanese Immigrants: This Is What Our Society Needs

Buno and his wife Yuko immigrated to Australia several years ago. They brought their two daughters, one seven years old and one seven months old, to the Luminous Lantern Parade. They especially liked Falun Dafa practitioners and said, “Their performance is awesome. The costumes are graceful and flowing, and the lanterns are special. Everything is so beautiful!” Yuko said.

“Our society needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” said Buno as he took pictures of the banner and the performance. “I can feel your kindness and peace. Thank you for being here!”

Moral Values Are Important

Two students from Thailand were interested in Falun Dafa and talked with a practitioner. Upon hearing the physical and mental benefits of practicing Falun Dafa, one nodded and said, “This practice is great, and it can bring people together to become better citizens. Moral values are important, including for us young people.”

The student felt bad about the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including forced organ harvesting. “More people need to know this. Everyone should have basic human rights,” she explained.

Mongolia Immigrant: An Important Message

Tuya recently immigrated to Australia, and she participated in the parade to represent Mongolian culture. She enjoyed the multicultural event and was pleased to see how Australian society embraces diverse cultures.

Tuya’s group walked in front of Falun Dafa practitioners in the parade. She said, “I agree with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Thank you very much for letting people know,” she said. She said she would look at the FalunDafa.org website to learn more.

Elementary School Teacher: The Power of Traditional Culture

Susan is an elementary school teacher, and she brought three children to see the parade. They said they enjoyed watching practitioners’ performances. They waved to practitioners and shook their hands.

Susan said the event was a great opportunity for children to explore various cultures, especially Falun Dafa’s traditional values. “They are hoping to see the waist drum and dragon dance again next year!” Susan said.

Falun Dafa Benefits Society

Tim Doyle came to the event with his children. He was glad to hear about Falun Dafa and said its values can benefit society. “Especially young people, they need to learn how to be kind and honest,” he explained.

Doyle was shocked to hear that the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners. “They have the right to practice something so good,” he said.
