Our family went to Beijing from Nanjing, to appeal to the Central Government at the end of 1999. My husband and I were detained after we came back. Another practitioner who went to Beijing with us was also detained and forced into a psychiatric institution. They forced him to take medication and have shots that are usually used on mental patients.

My husband and I were forced into a "study-for-re-education session" twice in March and April this year, and we had to pay for the tuition. My husband went on hunger strike to protest during the April study session, and he was detained for 15 days in a prison facility by the local police. The charge was that he did not cooperate with the re-education. Our family went to Beijing again in July and we were again detained when we came back to Nanjing. I was fired from my official position. The police took my 8-year-old child and me for a "re-education session." I alleged that it was unlawful and inhumane to detain an 8-year-old child. My child cried and said: "I'm not going! I'm not going!" The police ignored my child, and forced us into the session for a week.

On October 21, Jiang Zemin was supposed to visit his hometown, Yangzhou, via Nanjing. The atmosphere in the city of Nanjing was tense. I left my home to hide. My husband was put in detention by his employer, which held a "study session" for him and our child. The employer released my husband and our child in the evening of the second day because our child had to go to school. If I were at home, they would not have released my husband. This study session had no time limit, and if the practitioners did not change their mind, they would be sent to the labor camps for 'reeducation.'

Now, I have to be far from Nanjing and have to wander around without a home. I cannot go home to care for my young child, who desperately needs his mother, because I will be arrested again. However, no matter where I go, I keep explaining the truth about Falun Dafa to every person I see, in every way I can think of. I believe that it won't be long before the evil comes to an end.
