Everything a cultivator says or does is for the sake of cultivation, although it may not be just for his own cultivation. A cultivator will not seek those things that are fought for in human society, such as justice, equality, human rights, etc., let alone pursue justice from a political power or compete with an evil force in human society. This does not mean, however, that we as cultivators will limit ourselves by absolutely avoiding such activities. After we give up our human competitive mentality entirely, including the desire to fight for something for Dafa in human society, we should further achieve abandonment without omission, which requires giving up the fear of having such attachments. All the activities of our safeguarding the Fa and telling the truth to all people in the world can indeed obtain justice and equal rights and rehabilitate the reputation of Dafa in human society. These, however, are not our goals but the inevitable results from the process of the Fa rectifying the human mind.
Master Li has already rectified the whole universe. To rectify the Fa on this tiny speck of dust in the universe is just as Master Li has described-it is like dropping a piece of sawdust into a furnace of molten steel. It will vanish in a twinkling. If this is the case, why then do we need to safeguard the Fa and to tell the truth to the public? In my view it is for the same reason that Master Li has resorted to all means possible to save us and has, time and again, waited for us. Master Li has told us that none of the human beings on earth were meant to be just a human being. Master Li has also said that he resorted to all means to save us because we came down here with immeasurable courage to obtain the Fa. Master Li is compassionate about every single life that came down here to obtain the Fa. The purpose of our safeguarding the Fa and telling the truth to the public are: to let disciples who have obtained the Fa achieve Consummation, to let the lives that have not obtained the Fa get acquainted with the Fa so that they will have an opportunity to obtain the Fa or position themselves, and to let those who were deceived by propaganda have another chance to select their future paths. This is also "assisting the teacher in the human world." Of course this may only speak about things at the level that we can all observe.
We are cultivating according to Dafa of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance). We do not seek anything from human society. On the contrary, we need to give up all human attachments. Whatever we do will comply with the standards of a cultivator as long as we act from the standpoint of Dafa, as long as we keep a compassionate heart, as long as we do not hate or compete, and as long as we do not become attached to the use of everyday people's means to change any social or political environment. In some ways, when one's mind is not pure, its compassion will not emerge. Only the might of compassion is unstoppable.
