(Minghui.org) Ms. XinYaying, a Falun Gong practitioner and owner of a private clinic, has been harassed and had her home ransacked during the past two years. Officers from the Anci District Domestic Security Division in Langfang City have extorted a total of 100,000 yuan (~16,120 USD) from her family. Her family's finances were depleted, and they couldn't even afford their child's tuition. The child has dropped out of school.
More than ten police officers from the Anci District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Xin's home on December 24, 2012. They confiscated items valued at more than 50,000 yuan, and stole over 3,000 yuan in cash. They took her to the Langfang Detention Center and held her for seven days. The police confiscated 50,000 yuan from her husband, which was turned over to officer Dong Hui.
The police continued to call and harass the couple. Then, in early 2014, they called Ms. Xin and demanded that she go to the Domestic Security Division and sign a guarantee statement, promising to renounce Falun Gong. Knowing that she would not come, they continuously called her husband, threatening to make him pay money. The husband feared that his wife would be arrested again, so he paid 20,000 yuan, and did not dare tell his wife.
