(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Banglin Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

1. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Banglin Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Luo Banglin was sentenced to three years in prison by the Miyi County Court on December 23, 2022.

2. [Beijing] Six Practitioners’ Cases Brought to Court

Six practitioners were arrested and taken to the Shunyi District Detention Center at the end of July 2022. They are Zhao Ping, Hu Jinfeng, Wu Zhiming, Chen Yuying, An Xiurong, and Wang Runrong.

At the beginning of December, the procuratorate returned their case files to the police for additional investigation. The police officers continued to build their cases. It was reported that by the end of 2022, the six practitioners’ case files were brought to the Shunyi District Court.

3. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gao Longyu Arrested

Deputy head Zhu Tianpeng of Miyi County Domestic Security Division, domestic security officer Chen Yu, deputy director Que Xingping of Caochang Township Police Station, and two police officers went to Ms. Gao Longyu’s home at 12:30 p.m. on January 16, 2023. They ransacked her home without presenting a search warrant. They confiscated her Falun Dafa books and weekly publications. They took Ms. Gao to the police station.

Ms. Gao was taken to the Panzhihua City Detention Center on the evening of January 17. She was charged with distributing truth-clarification materials in the elevator room of the Haitanghuayu Residential Community, and was seen on surveillance cameras.

4. [Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Tianlin Held in Brainwashing Center for 52 Days

Mr. Zhao Tianlin from the Taigu District was arrested and taken to the Heyuan Hotel in the Yuci District, where a temporary brainwashing session was jointly run by the provincial and local governments. Mr. Zhao was held there for 52 days. He was previously taken to a brainwashing facility in 2021.
