(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held information day events every Saturday and Sunday at Cologne Cathedral Square in November 2025, in Cologne, Germany.
The events promoted Falun Dafa and helped people learn about the inhuman persecution taking place in China.
Local residents and tourists from around the world signed a petition to support Falun Dafa practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution, while one woman was particularly attracted by the peaceful and positive energy of the Falun Dafa exercises and stayed at the event for a long time.

Cologne Cathedral Square was crowded with tourists at noon on November 30. Falun Gong practitioners had prepared leaflets in more than 20 languages to help tourists from different countries understand what the event was about.
While waiting for their companions to emerge from the cathedral, tourists read a banner about the persecution and proactively approached practitioners to talk and pick up some printed materials.
Many people were surprised by the severity of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution of Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong.
Some people told practitioners that although they had heard of the CCP’s crimes of forced organ harvesting, the words and pictures on the banner still stunned them.
Woman Drawn to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
A Falun Gong practitioner performing the exercises in the square caught Lisa’s attention.
A German woman named Lisa stopped and watched a practitioner doing the exercises a short distance away, seemingly captivated. “The square was crowded and noisy. This woman stood here quietly, radiating a tranquility that was so different,” Lisa told a practitioner.
Lisa, who works in psychology, said she sensed the peaceful energy field emanating from the practitioner who was doing the exercises as soon as she stepped onto the square. She was amazed that the chaotic environment had not affected the practitioner’s focus.
“Her slow and gentle movements exuded a tranquil power. I felt the peace of this energy, didn’t want to leave, and moved with her movements in my heart. It was so beautiful that I almost cried,” Lisa said.
When a practitioner explained that this energy came from Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Lisa said that she had noticed the banner, which said in German that Falun Gong is a Buddhist practice based on these principles, and that it is being persecuted in China.
She said that the peaceful power was all the more moving because it was about tolerance, upholding justice, and striving for peace, even when only one person was practicing. She also noticed passersby constantly stopping to pay attention to the practitioner doing the exercises.
Lisa expressed her gratitude for the practitioners’ efforts and remarked that what they were doing was beneficial and meaningful to everyone here and to society, not only in China but also in Germany. “Too many people only care about themselves and do not care about others. We should remember and enrich these concepts,” she said.
A short while later, Lisa returned to the event site, saying she didn’t want to leave and wanted to stay longer because the energy was wonderful.
Turkish Tourists Learn the Truth
Three Turkish tourists were surprised and concerned when they saw hand-drawn illustrations depicting the CCP’s torture of Falun Gong practitioners. A practitioner explained to them that these illustrations were based on real events and were only the tip of the iceberg, with countless more brutal cases being covered up by the CCP.
One of the young men spoke German and translated the descriptions accompanying the illustrations sentence-by-sentence into Turkish for the other two. Another practitioner handed them a leaflet in Turkish. One of them took the leaflet and immediately read it aloud, while his two companions listened attentively. They all signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
