(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities on Dam Square in Amsterdam to introduce the spiritual practice on March 8, 2026. They also raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

The National Monument on Dam Square was erected in 1956 to commemorate the Dutch people who died during World War II. Standing approximately 22 meters tall and constructed from white stone, the monument features carvings of figures that symbolize suffering and resistance. Today, it serves as a significant national historical memorial site and is a key landmark for visitors to learn about Dutch history.

Practitioners collected signatures on a petition calling on the G7+7 countries to take action to help stop the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. Many tourists stopped to read their display boards and signed the petition.

People learned about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution during an event on Dam Square in Amsterdam on March 8.

Mr. Shah from India read the display boards carefully and signed the petition.

He said, “People should support one another when facing injustice. When such things occur, we should offer moral support.”

He said that the Chinese government should support the spread of Falun Dafa instead of persecuting it. He also said he thought that large companies should consider leaving China to exert pressure on the CCP and avoid supporting this persecution.

Mr. Shah read the display boards and signed the petition.

“I learned that Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice that benefits one’s health and relieves stress,” he said. “It should be widely spread, not suppressed. There is no reason to ban it, not to mention persecuting them. This practice is helpful to the whole world.”

He added, “Chinese people should be proud of Falun Dafa. The government should promote it and spread it across the world. Thus, the world and Chinese people will benefit from it. It is a good thing.”

He said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance could benefit everyone: “You are speaking out and raising awareness. You are helping the world.”

Many passers-by talked with practitioners and signed the petition. Some tourists from Italy signed the petition after they talked to a practitioner. They were happy to accept flyers in Italian.
