(Hummingbird) The Asia Street Food Festival commenced in Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne, Australia from December 4 to December 7, 2025. The festival featured over 200 delicacies from all over the world and attracted people of all ethnic backgrounds leaving a lasting impression.
Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to the festival. Practitioners were on stage twice, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. Performances included demonstrations of Falun Dafa’s five sets of exercises, and music by the Tian Guo Marching Band, waist drums, dragon dance, fan dance and ethnic straw hat dance. The performances showcased the beauty as well as joy of traditional Eastern culture. The evening performance drew a large audience, earning enthusiastic applause and cheers from local residents.
The host repeatedly and enthusiastically introduced Falun Dafa as a practice that cultivates both body and mind based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion Forbearance. and noted that both the exercises and teachings are truly remarkable.
Falun Dafa practitioner performed at the Asia Street Food Festival. Practitioners were warmly welcomed and their performances spread positive energy and awakened kindness in people’s hearts.
Ms. Cai, a member of the waist drum team said, “The host of the festival left a deep impression on me. The host would express his respect towards Falun Dafa before and after each performance. He had group pictures with practitioners several times. Many visitors of the festival received origami lotus flowers, holding them with two hands, and expressed their gratitude.
Ms. Song, another member of the waist drum team said, “We noticed more audience members in the evening than in the afternoon. I stood on stage while moving with the music. I had completely immersed myself into the melody. I was very touched by the audience’s applause. Practitioners brought pure energy from the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
Ms. Yang, coordinator of the waist-drum team said, “The powerful rhythm of the drums, the precise and unified movements and the vibrant costumes attracted many people, who took pictures. The waist drum team displayed calm and peaceful demeanor of Falun Dafa practitioners. It brought traditional Chinese waist drum culture to this diverse food festival. The nine-minute Falun Dafa exercise demonstrations inspired people to follow along. We are honored to be a part of this festival.”
Mr. Li, a member of the Tian Guo Marching Band said, “We were deeply moved by the sight of so many Australian people listening attentively to our music. Whether it is parades, rallies or community events like this, every member of the marching band hopes people see the sacred, golden, radiant banner that says, ‘Falun Dafa is good,’ hear the pure and beautiful music, and feel the compassion and peaceful energy that Falun Dafa practitioners convey to the world through music.
“Our music is like a clear, refreshing stream that cleanses away negative factors and awakens people’s kindness during this degenerate society.”
Many Chinese people of different ages were present. They included international students, elderly visitors from overseas and immigrant families. An elderly Falun Dafa practitioner chatted with many predestined Chinese people. They were accepting and decided to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
